Nicki Minaj calls herself Trump’s ‘Number 1 fan’. Is this a play to get pardons for her husband and brother?
In the last couple of months, rapper and songwriter Nicki Minaj has gone above and beyond to show her support for United States President Donald Trump. It all started with her voicing her support for the dictator in chief on social media and has now culminated in vocal, public support for him, much to the dismay of some of her fans.
Nicki Minaj is showing no signs of getting off the Trump appreciation train. First, it was the Turning Point USA event she attended alongside Erika Kirk back in December 2025, where she couldn’t stop showering praise on Donald Trump; now it is the TrumpAccounts.gov event that took place recently, where the same thing happened.
On Wednesday, after Nicki Minaj joined President Donald Trump on stage in Washington DC to say a few words, she didn’t have much to say. However, with very little time, she did exactly what needed to be done: suck up to Trump. This is what she said while speaking of Trump:
I don’t know what to say, but I will say that I am probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change. And the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. And it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more. We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him. You know the smear campaigns—it’s not going to work. He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen.”
Nicki Minaj continued to show her support for Trump well after the event, as she shared on her X account a picture of a Trump Gold Card with his face on it (obviously) that grants US residency to its holders and also guarantees fast-tracking of the US citizenship process. She captioned the post “Welp”, and then in a later post, she spoke about the Gold Card again, clarifying that she did not have to pay anything to acquire it, as rumours suggested. She wrote, “… Finalising that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Thanks to the petition. I wouldn’t have done it without you… Gold Trump card free of charge.”
Nicki Minaj’s behaviour pertaining to Trump hasn’t gone unnoticed by the people, especially her fans, who have their own theories about all of this. Many of them believe that she is trying to get pardons for her husband and brother, both of whom are registered sex offenders. Very very convenient!
