Marjorie Taylor Greene has several ‘America-first’ policies that Trump could follow, but he is busy calling affordability a ‘hoax’

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ongoing revenge tour against Donald Trump shows no signs of slowing down. After consistently criticising Trump and several Republicans on various occasions, Greene is once again aiming at Trump and his administration for their anti-American behaviour.
In recent months, Marjorie Taylor Greene has become one of the most vocal critics of President Donald Trump. There have been numerous instances where Trump and Greene have disagreed. These include topics like the Epstein Files, national policies, affordability, inflation, healthcare, and fulfilling promises. On all these matters, Trump and Greene have held conflicting views, resulting in clashes between the two figures who were once seen as close allies. Greene has frequently called Trump out for his failures in these areas, demanding accountability, and Trump has often brushed off her requests, providing vague responses or resorting to name-calling, including his notorious “traitor” label for her, which has led to death threats against her and her family. As their public disputes continue, Marjorie Taylor Greene is once again stepping into the spotlight to express her dissatisfaction with President Trump and her expectations of him.
On December 17, 2025, Marjorie Taylor Greene sat for an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins and was asked questions about various topics, primarily centred around Trump. In a particular segment of the interview that has gone viral on social media, Collins was seen inquiring about Greene’s expectations for the President’s upcoming address scheduled for the next day, specifically whether she anticipated him making false statements, such as claiming there’s “no inflation” like he said “last week.”
Marjorie agreed with Kaitlan, responding with a “It’s not true” and went on to explain that inflation hit its peak during the Biden administration and stabilised at around 2.5 per cent during Trump’s second term, asserting that Trump’s claim of “no inflation” was indeed false. Greene further expressed her hopes for Trump, stating that she wished for him to exhibit some “empathy” towards Americans. Criticising Trump’s previous remarks about affordability being a “hoax,” Greene said:
“When he looks into a camera and says affordability is a hoax and just totally tries to make nothing out of inflation, he’s talking to Americans that are suffering and have been suffering for many years now and are having a hard time making ends meet.”
When Collins asked Greene what she believes Trump should address in his speech, she recommended he “dive all in” on “America First policies,” which involve parking Air Force One and avoiding foreign country trips, halting the “revolving door of foreign leaders into his White House,” ceasing to “embrace” terrorists once wanted by the United States, and refraining from labeling people like her as “traitors.” Additionally, Greene emphasised that Trump should concentrate on delivering the promises he made to Americans during his campaign, rather than those of his major donors, big pharma, big tech, or foreign leaders.
