Karoline Leavitt shows zero empathy for deceased Renee Nicole Good, calls her a ‘deranged lunatic’

Besides intellect, one other thing that members of the Trump administration thoroughly lack is empathy, and a recent incident is proving exactly that.

While Minneapolis and the whole of America grieve over the murder of Renee Nicole Good at the hands of an ICE agent, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is busy spinning the narrative in the perpetrator’s favour by painting the deceased as an aggressor who deserved her fate. While appearing on Fox News on Monday, Leavitt claimed that people who earlier believed that the officer shot at Renee Nicole Good without any provocation are now gradually changing their stance on the matter after seeing video footage of the incident available online. Talking about the same, Leavitt called Good a “deranged lunatic” and accused her of weaponising her vehicle against him and attempting to kill him. Like the Department of Homeland Security, Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, and JD Vance, she also believed that the officer acted in self-defence and that somehow his actions were justified while completely ignoring the suffering of the deceased and the family she has left behind. Her exact words in the context were:

First, you heard democrats Including the mayor of Minneapolis, saying that the car never struck the officer and the lethal force was unjustified. Now, of course, there is plentiful Video evidence to show that the Officer was struck by the car, that this deranged lunatic woman was trying to ram him over with her Vehicle and was using that vehicle as a weapon, which justifies Domestic terrorism, and unfortunately, we are seeing these instances play out in American communities across the Country…”

Karoline Leavitt did not stop here; she continued by complaining about the “paid antagonists” all over the United States who were trying to “unlawfully” disrupt the work of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. She accused such people of “harassing” and “targeting” ICE agents, preventing them from carrying out their duties. Leavitt cited Good’s case as an example of the same and defended the officer for killing her, noting that he was an “experienced” individual who was put in a position where he had to take a “tough” decision by the actions of “paid agitators” such as her and others who were present around her.

Karoline Leavitt’s comments surrounding the killing of Renee Nicole Good come as no surprise, as her literal job role is to echo the words of Donald Trump and others in the Republican Party. However, what is shocking (or maybe not) is the conviction with which she is lying about the incident, despite solid evidence being available online that depicts the exact opposite of what she said.
