‘Joe finally making sense’: Joe Rogan is unhappy with how Donald Trump handled the ‘Rob Reiner thing’

In the last few months, several former supporters of Donald Trump have journeyed across the ocean to become his full-time haters. One of the most notable figures among them is Marjorie Taylor Greene, whose lack of support for Trump is likely the one that hurts him the most, even if he won’t admit it and prefers to hide behind his “traitor” comments about her. Another person whose lack of support Trump hasn’t openly acknowledged, but should definitely concern him due to its significant impact, is Joe Rogan.
Given Joe Rogan’s influential position, he played a vital role in the 2024 elections by encouraging people to vote for Trump, which, while not the only reason, had a considerable effect, leading to his re-election and his return as President of the United States in 2025. However, since then, Rogan has criticised Trump on multiple occasions, addressing issues such as the ICE raids, the Epstein Files, and policies related to the economy, trade, and foreign affairs. He has also raised concerns about more personal matters, like Trump’s visible cognitive decline, which he argues makes him unfit to govern, and Trump’s attempts to silence comedians, particularly talk show hosts like Jimmy Kimmel who have spoken out against him.
Recently, Joe Rogan once again criticised Donald Trump, this time focusing on his remarks about the late Rob Reiner, whom he insulted in a very derogatory way. For those who may not be aware, Trump, in a Truth Social post on December 15, 2025, a day after Rob Reiner’s death, stated that his passing was due to a “massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.” He also mentioned in his post that Rob Reiner had driven people mad with his “raging obsession” with Trump, claiming that his “obvious paranoia” had reached new extremes as the Trump Administration “surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness.” Rogan addressed these comments from Trump during the Thursday episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, asserting that the “Rob Reiner thing” was not amusing. He stated:
“The Rob Reiner thing is not funny, right? And that’s like the same thing. It’s the same kind of thinking. And when you see it with no empathy, that’s when it’s hard to like [him]….There’s no justification for what he did that makes any sense in a compassionate society. It’s no different than people that were celebrating when Charlie Kirk got shot. It’s same kind of thing.”
