She’s Back!! The New Teaser for Marvel’s Most Highly Anticipated Brings Back an Iconic Defender
See who else is joining Matt Murdock's New York in Season 2

The Defenders are officially one step closer to reuniting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In a new teaser for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones is back at last and sassing Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) like absolutely no time has passed.
Before we get into the tantalizing details of the Born Again teaser, I do want to remind everyone that the entire first season of Wonder Man dropped on Disney+ today, January 27. The show is a dang delight. As much as I love to see street level heroes kick ass and bicker like siblings, I don’t want the next to distract from the now. So if this teaser is giving you the MCU warm fuzzies, go check Wonder Man out ASAP!
Alright, watch the trailer (which was shown to audiences at New York Comic-Con in October) below:
We’re back in Matt Murdock’s New York City. Or, rather, we’re back in Mayor Wilson Fisk’s New York City, which he placed under martial law at the end of Born Again Season 1. The Kingpin (Vincent D’Onfrio) has the Punisher-loving Anti-Vigilante Task Force as his own personal secret police. He’s back in the boxing ring. He’s on top of his tiny island world. Meanwhile, Matt is getting cozy with Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), which is… interesting. That will they/won’t they relationship is not my preference. But I’m happy for two fictional characters I don’t know if they’re happy, you know?
Then, some kind of sonic disruption or something disorients Matt, and the trailer shows some glimpses at the trouble Daredevil will face ahead. Chief among them is Jessica Jones herself, who first appears in a church bathed in red light where Matt appears to be recovering from injuries. Likely place for him to be, but less so Jessica. “I hope you can walk,” she deadpans, “because I’m not carrying you.” Her wardrobe has not changed a stitch, obviously. In a later scene, we see JJ showing off her super strength by swinging a metal door at an AVTF agent. Sometimes violence is satisfying!
I’m sure people have thoughts about the black Daredevil suit we see Matty wearing, as well. But Matt and Jessica are the highlight for me. Those two really have one of the best dynamics in the MCU. They never really flirt with each other, despite being two of the MCU’s horniest heroes. They have mutual respect but ideological differences. Chef’s kiss all around.
Who is returning for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?
Elsewhere in the teaser, we see a new character played by Matthew Lillard. Ayelet Zurer, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, and Arty Froushan’s characters–Vanessa Fisk, Daniel Blake, Heather Glenn, and Buck Cashman respectively–are back as well. Vigilante villain Benjamin “Bullseye” Poindexter, played by Wilson Bethel, is also bopping around, free as a bird for some reason but still getting into scrapes. Missing, so far, are characters like BB Urich (Genneya Walton), Kirsten McDuffie (Nikki M. James), Sheila Rivera (Zabryna Guevara), and Cherry (Clark Johnson).
That said, Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) also appears in a blink-and-you-miss-it moment. Is this a flashback? Did he fake his death? Get those theories in order before Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 debuts on March 24, 2026.
