‘It’s good riddance’: Politician Dan Koh warns people against being fooled by Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ‘anti-Trump’ stance
Until recently, United States Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene was one of the most vocal supporters of the Trump administration and Donald Trump in general. She even played a key role during the 2024 presidential elections, which eventually led to Trump becoming the President of the United States.
In the past few months, Marjorie Taylor Greene has shocked several Republicans and some Democrats with her anti-Trump stance on various issues. One area where she has completely diverged from the U.S. President is regarding the release of the Epstein Files. While Greene has pushed for the release of the controversial files and urged authorities to bring Jeffrey Epstein’s victims to justice, Donald Trump has dismissed the entire matter as a “Democrat hoax” and repeatedly opposed releasing the files.
Another issue Greene has vocally criticised is the Republicans’ failure to propose a replacement for Obamacare, despite repeatedly claiming they have a plan. She has also expressed concerns about the United States’ close relationship with Israel and its indirect (but significant) involvement in the genocide carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people. Due to these stances, Greene has faced criticism, much of it from her own party. Donald Trump has even nicknamed her “Marjorie ‘traitor’ Greene” and has frequently attacked her using that name during press interactions and on social media.
Just a few days ago, Greene announced she would resign from her position effective January 5, 2026, prompting various reactions. While Republicans are calling her a ‘traitor’ and echoing their leader’s comments, Democrats are highlighting the nuances of her decision and caution against being fooled by her recent actions. One such critic is Daniele Koh, who served as Deputy Assistant to President Joe Biden and Deputy Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. On CNN during a recent segment, Koh stated:
Marjorie Taylor Greene is a racist, sexist, homophobic insurrectionist. Let’s just run the clock back, okay. This is a person who claimed that the California wildfires were caused by space lasers from a rich Jewish family. She said that Pelosi was using Nazi Gazpacho police. She called LGBTQ people predators. She called January 6thers hostages going on and on again. So, we shouldn’t let this recent narrative of turning against Trump fool anyone. Either side of the aisle should not want a member of Congress like this. In my opinion, it’s good riddance.”
