Lindsey Graham’s Sad and Pathetic Disney Trip Is the Talk of the Town

Senator Lindsey Graham has been busy living it up at Walt Disney World for Spring Break while the government shutdown rolls on. TMZ reported that they spoke to the lawmaker after seeing him on Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom.

Graham was asked about getting a deal done to re-open the government after Republicans in the House scuttled the prospective deal put forth by the Senate. The senator glibly said, “I voted 7 times to fully fund the government. Call a Democrat.” Alrighty then, solved that one. Can we all go home? Not at all, there’s too much fun to be had at Disney World for the governing body of this country.

According to TMZ’s reporting Graham met with Trump officials in Florida on Friday and decided to make a weekend of it. There were interesting times at Walt Disney World’s Fantasyland. Their pictures show the legislator in the Tangled section of the park. They also managed to score photos of Graham getting a bite to eat at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

It’s interesting to point out that TMZ’s reporting includes Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders leaving Washington D.C.. However, no word on if either of those politicians got a Fastpass or not. As there’s only one legislator we can identify making use of Genie this past weekend, we’re going to focus on that display instead. (We all know Ted Cruz only goes on lavish vacations when there’s a big storm on the way to his district. No word on Gavin Newsome’s dinner plans either for what it’s worth!)

Lindsey Graham just partying in Florida

As of the start of this week, TSA workers are receiving pay again. But, legal observers and regular people are wondering if Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will end up remaining at United States airports. White House border “Czar” Tom Holman talked to CNN about that very topic period of course Holman, a man behind a lot of the horrors of ICE’s current reign of terror in the United States, left the door open for an unprecedented occupation of these private spaces. As with most things going on with the Donald Trump administration, its a test to see just how far they can go.

“It depends on how many TSA agents come back to work [and] how many TSA agents have actually quit and have no plan [of] coming back to work,” Homan argued with Jake Tapper. When talking about the folks at TSA finally getting paid, the government official took the opportunity to appear sympathetic.

TSA funded and the Government Shutdown is not over

Homan argued, “It’s good news… because these TSA officers are struggling. They can’t feed their families or pay their rent.” And, while that may be true, the travelers who have had to endure long lines and travel disruptions are told that their struggles are insignificant to the folks up top.

President Trump wants the SAVE Act passed and is willing to put tourists through Hell to establish that leverage. Republicans in both chambers of Congress want that voting rights legislation movie. (SAVE Act would in effect render millions of voters unable to cast their ballot without a birth certificate that matches their name. That means without concessions to married women either! It’s voter suppression by any other name.) But, hey, at least there’s Disney World, right?
