Gender reveals are supposed to be over-the-top, camera-ready moments with big reactions and bigger hugs. However, in one viral clip, the confetti wasn’t the only thing people were watching.

When blue burst into the air, this mom-to-be broke down in emotional tears… while her fiancé celebrated for a second and then casually walked off-screen. No hug, no moment…just vibes. Now the internet isn’t focused on the baby at all; they’re dissecting the dad and asking the question no one wants to hear mid-pregnancy: what exactly did that reaction mean?

When confronted about it by viewers, the woman doubles down and defends her man.

What Happened at This Gender Reveal?

Gender reveals by nature are quite a hit or miss. Even if planned to a T, some things can always go wrong. Like the time a couple accidentally found out their baby’s gender because of a driving mishap when driving the cake they ordered home, or the time a couple’s cake was done wrong by the baker, and they thought they were having a boy when in actuality, they were having a girl.

Millah’s (@millah.ravenna) gender reveal wasn’t that dramatic. In fact, according to her, it was perfect. However, some of the 426,000 viewers might beg to differ.

The now-deleted video’s text overlay says, “A moment that will replay in the back of my head for the rest of my life.” The couple is standing in a yard, each holding a confetti canister. The fiancé wastes no time and immediately pops the canister, exploding blue confetti into the air.

Millah stays shocked and doesn’t pop the one in her hand. She immediately starts crying, presumably happy tears. Her partner? Punches the air, looks at her for a split-second, then walks off-camera. Fatima stays in front alone, still crying, while the fiancé walks on and off screen while still holding his hands in the air.

Millah’s caption states: “I’m so happy.”

The Defensive Update

Just two days after posting the clip and going viral, Millah posts another TikTok defending her fiancé. She’s replying to a comment that simply stated “red flag” under the original clip.

At the beginning of the video, Millah says, “I’m about to defend the [expletive] out of him because that’s my partner and I don’t like how people are talking about him.”

The first point she covers is the fact that people were calling out how he didn’t hug her. She claims that he did, but it just wasn’t in the video. Others say it was supposed to be her day too, but she says she already gets enough attention being pregnant.

Additionally, she emphasizes how her fiancé should get the chance to have his “moment.” She then ends the video saying that her fiancé treats her well and that she hasn’t worked a single day since becoming pregnant. He pays all the expenses: groceries, rent, etc.

“So to anyone in the comments having a big old sook, shut up,” Millah concludes.

Viewers Get Sarcastic

Some viewers can’t help but scoff. A comment with over 1,000 likes says, “Gonna be a great Dad… wish you luck with the relationship though queen.” Millah replies, “What an odd thing to say.”

A second viewer states, “Congrats on your two kids!” A third says, “Does he even know you, sis?”

Others start keeping a countdown on when the relationship will end. One viewer says, “She’s seen the signs and ignored them and very soon she shall see wonders.” While another comment with over 2,300 likes says, “Let’s all meet back here in a few years…”
