Gas prices are through the roof, and one Pennsylvania woman just put Donald Trump on blast for it — live on air

Trump claims Dollar is doing great when it’s at a four-year low.

Not everyone is feeling buyer’s remorse yet. But this woman from Pennsylvania, who allegedly voted for President Donald Trump, had a few words to convey in reaction to the soaring gas prices.

On Meet the Press NOW by NBC News, Kelly O’Donnell said that the price of gas in Pennsylvania is at $3.76 per gallon. This is contrary to Trump’s promise of lower fuel prices. Notably, he mentioned that he’ll lower the prices to $1.99 per gallon.

Senior National Politics Reporter John Allen went to Millersburg, Pennsylvania, to speak to Trump voters. Allen noted that Trump won the district by five points in the last election. He interviewed several supporters, most of whom still support Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran.

“I think it was a great decision. I think somebody else should’ve done it a couple of years ago,” Mike Purcell, a resident, responded.

“He’s doing the right thing,” Jim Matter, another Pennsylvania resident, said about the president’s move on Iran.

“We gotta do what we gotta do to keep this country safe,” said Kim Schaffner. Like the other two residents, the rise in gas prices isn’t a concern to them. Schaffner also believes that gas prices will eventually go back down.

Trump loses one vote

But one Trump voter was furious at Trump.

“If you could say something to President Trump, if he were going to hear you, what would it be?” asked Allen of Amanda Robbins, a Trump voter from Pennsylvania.

She looked into the camera and said, “You are a worthless pile of shit.”

“And you voted for him how many times?” Allen followed up.

“Three times. That was my bad. Apparently, I’m an idiot,” Robbins said in reaction to the increase in gas prices. But it’s still just one person against Trump and three still in support. In this area at least, there aren’t enough MAGA supporters who are ruffled by Trump’s attack on Iran. They bought into the administration’s justifications, which frame Iran as a national security threat.

A growing rift

What’s interesting to note is that Robbins was a longtime voter for Trump. Each time he ran, she supported him in the elections. For her to express outrage against the president she voted for thrice reflects the rift that can also be seen online in the MAGA crowd.

Not only has Trump’s Director for the National Counterterrorism Center resigned to protest the war, but many political allies that helped bolster Trump into power are starting to criticize the president. Political commentator Tucker Carlson, who aligns with the MAGA movement, has spoken against the war. He was alarmed by the possibility of the United States striking a girls’ school in Iran.

Media personality Megyn Kelly, who also supported Trump’s presidential run, has also turned critical of the administration. She thought of the attack on Iran as “Israel’s war.” Earlier in 2026, she also refused to cheer for Trump’s regime change in Venezuela in fear of her children being drafted.

Podcaster Candace Owens has also been actively opposed to the war. Like Kelly, she also believes that the war is being fought by the United States on Israel’s behalf. She went further and accused Trump of betraying America. These are just some of Trump’s media allies, but even Republican politicians have spoken up against the war, namely Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, and former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
