Emmanuel Macron seemingly hits back at Trump, says France prefers ‘respect’ over being bullied

So long, French President Emmanuel Macron had been trying to maintain peace with the United States and Donald Trump, but it seems like he has lost his patience now. I mean, why wouldn’t he? Trump has been repeatedly trying to seek France’s compliance in respect to the country becoming a part of his ambitious “Board of Peace” and in other aspects, and when Macron refused to obey Trump simply threatened him with action. Therefore, Macron is no longer obligated to be nice to Trump unless he makes reparations.
Standing on the stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday, Emmanuel Macron seemingly sent out a strong message to the United States and Donald Trump, without even mentioning any of them. Talking about the need to build a stronger Europe and fostering “stability” in its economy and other aspects, Macron highlighted the key features that make the continent stand out from the rest, saying:
We do prefer respect to bullies, we do prefer science to plotism, and we do prefer rule of law to brutality”
Macron’s comments about “bullies” have gained significant attention online, especially on social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), where most people are convinced that he is talking about Trump. I believe this, too, and I also think that Trump is too Low IQ (a term he famously uses to refer to people who are more intelligent than him) to understand that unless one of his chipmunks complains about it to him or a journalist tells him about it for a comment. I can totally see an angry Truth Social post from Trump coming our way addressing this topic. It’s only a matter of time.
In other news, another piece of information that is coming straight from the orange overlord, ahead of his trip to Davos, is that his plans of attaining Greenland are still very much in place. He is even providing additional justification for going ahead with the plan in a recent Truth Social post dated January 20, 2026, part of which reads:
“The UK giving away extremely important land is an act of GREAT STUPIDITY, and is another in a very long line of National Security reasons why Greenland has to be acquired. Denmark and its European Allies have to DO THE RIGHT THING. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
In the same post, Trump also accused the United Kingdom of “planning to give away” the Island of Diego Garcia, a site of a “vital U.S. Military Base, to Mauritius, and to do so FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER.”
