‘Dumbest man on the planet.’: AOC asks Trump about the Clock Drawing Test used to detect dementia after he challenged her to a ‘cognitive test’ match
In the past couple of weeks, United States President Donald Trump has boasted about his medical examinations on at least two occasions. And, on both, he has claimed that his test results are undefeated against those of Democrats. Is this a school examination? Even kids don’t behave this way.
In the most recent instance, Donald Trump, while en route to Japan, told reporters that he had taken “cognitive tests” which were “aptitude tests” in some ways while he was at Walter Reed getting medically checked. He also claimed that if people like Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were to take these tests, they would probably fail due to their low IQ. Additionally, he called for a match of some sort between AOC and him to see who scores higher in the “cognitive tests.”
He continued further by giving details about the test he took, highlighting that there was a question in which he was expected to identify a few animals by looking at their pictures, noting that they were a “tiger”, an “elephant,” and a “giraffe.” Many in the comments section of videos featuring Trump’s interaction with the interviewer poked fun at him for bragging about his medical results. Others highlighted how the components he mentioned about the test he took closely resembled those taken by individuals who are feared to have dementia. AOC, after she was made aware of Donald Trump’s comments about her, took a dig at him along similar lines.
On October 27, AOC shared a video of Trump’s comments on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:
“Hello Mr. President! Out of curiosity, did those doctors ask you to draw a clock by any chance? Was that part hard for you, too? Asking for 340 million people.”
For those who are not aware, here AOC is referring to the Clock Drawing Test, a screening tool largely used to detect cognitive disabilities, including early dementia. AOC’s comments about Trump brought in a lot of laughs from the people on the platform. One person commented under her post:
“Donald you dumbass you didn’t do an IQ test. You took a cognitive test which is a low bar to make sure you’re still safe to tie your own shoe laces. Dumbest man on the planet.”
Another person wrote:
“The “aptitude test” he’s bragging about was literally designed to detect dementia. Not sure that’s the flex he thinks it is. “
It won’t be shocking for me if Donald Trump develops dementia. The man forgot that he was the President of the United States when the January 6 riots happened, and blamed the opposition for it. He also often seems to forget that he was best friends with disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
