Donald Trump is out here channeling Michael Scott

michael scott on the roof

Donald Trump, the Monster in Chief, decided to randomly go on a walk today. Doesn’t seem news worthy, right? But he decided to walk on the roof of the White House and if you’ve ever seen The Office, you know where I’m going with this.

For some reason, Trump was just walking on the roof. Kind of alarming to suddenly see the President of the United States on a roof but you know who also once just decided to go on a walk on a roof? Michael Scott in The Office. Apparently when asked, Trump said he was “just taking a little walk” on the roof…

The Steve Carell character decides a way to share how dangerous depression in the work place can be, he wants to stage a fake suicide attempt.

It results in Michael on the roof realizing that he’s too high up and he ends up yelling down to the employees of Dunder Mifflin as they try to “talk him down.” One of which is Dwight K. Schrute (Rainn Wilson) who was in on the plan. “Dwight, you ignorant slut” is still one of the best quotes from The Office and now I kind of wish that someone just yelled it up at Trump while he was standing on the roof.

In yet another “This is the Bad Place” moment, I do have to wonder how this isn’t just an episode of a Mike Schur/Greg Daniels show. Even worse, it is starting to feel like Veep and if you watched that show, you KNOW that’s not the world you want to live in.

What next? Is Trump going to offer college educations to a bunch of kids and then deny them that right? Oh…wait….that’s basically Trump university. If he asks you to a dinner party, do not let him show you the television he had to fight to buy!
