Donald Trump dodged a question on using ICE at airports to terrorize people by doing what he does best

On March 23, 2026, United States President Donald Trump sent ICE officials to multiple airports across America, raising public concerns. During a partial government shutdown, many Transportation Security Administration workers have been absent because they haven’t been paid, and many have quit, leading to long lines at security checkpoints. To address this, Trump deployed ICE agents to several airports, including John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

Since the move was unusual, Trump was naturally questioned about it. While speaking with journalists on his way to Memphis, a reporter asked Trump to comment on ICE’s presence at airports. Trump first asked which news outlet he represented. After learning the name, he refused to answer, saying the outlet was not doing a good job.

Trump refuses to answer questions about ICE deployment at airports

A video circulating on social media, including X (formerly Twitter), shows Trump refusing to answer a question about his ICE deployment at airports. When asked to comment, he instead asked the reporter which news outlet he was with.

When told he was there for NewsMax, Trump, with a very angry and disgruntled expression, said he was not doing a “good job.” As the reporter continued pressing for answers, Trump again said, “You’re not doing a good job. Did you hear me?”

A woman was violently tackled by ICE at San Francisco International Airport

Many believed ICE agents at airports were replacing Transportation Security Administration workers, but videos emerging show a different story. A viral clip shows ICE agents tackling a woman while others nearby ask them to let her go. Several news outlets have reported on the matter.

According to ABC7 San Francisco, the incident happened at San Francisco International Airport on Sunday night when ICE agents in plain clothes detained the woman as her young daughter watched. The incident has faced heavy criticism. A woman who was one of the eyewitnesses speaking to ABC7 San Francisco about the incident said she repeatedly asked the ICE agents to identify themselves, but received no answer. “Is this a kidnapping? Is this a federal agent? And that was what was most frustrating was not being able to receive any sort of response from them, “ she said. In a press conference, California Senator Scott Wiener said, “ICE is not welcome in San Francisco or at San Francisco International Airport. We don’t need ICE or border patrol or any of these other thugs in our city and our airport. They’re not welcome here, and they need to stay the hell out.”
