Bride-to-be boards Delta flight to Miami bachelorette party. Little did she know the flight attendants would crown her Biscoff queen: ‘I’m gonna cry’

Flight attendants on a Delta flight to Miami, Fla., realize that one of their passengers is heading to her Bachelorette trip. They put together a hilarious gift with Biscoff cookies, a popular airplane snack, that nearly brings the bride to tears.
Bridal party member Lucia Soma (@luciasomaa) sits in a row of the Delta aircraft with the bride. Soma films the flight attendant giggling as she walks to the back of the cabin to serve snacks to other travelers.
She pans back to the bride, who sits in the window seat looking shocked. She wears a crown made of rows of Biscoff cookies stuck together by the flight attendants. They also wedged toothpicks with the Delta Airlines crest in the top of the crown like jewels.
“I’m gonna cry!” the bride exclaims after her hilarious mid-flight coronation. The video quickly reached over 395,000 views.
On-screen text reads, “Not the flight attendants giving her a Biscoff crown.”
She also praises the flight attendants for the surprise in the caption. “@delta flight attendants setting the bar high!!!!! Bachelorette off to a great start,” she writes.
Have Delta flight attendants crowned other passengers?
While Soma and the bride were caught off guard by the handmade Biscoff crown, turns out, it’s a practice that many more Delta passengers have been lucky enough to participate in. Delta flyers who share their experience on social media suggest the flight attendants have been doing it for years.
In an X post from 2019, one user posts a selfie in a Biscoff crown, saying she was awarded the title “Biscoff Queen” after telling the flight attendant how much she enjoyed the mid-flight snack.
Another passenger with Delta frequent flyer status received the crown on his birthday last year. He poses with a Delta airplane trading card in the Instagram post.
Sometimes flight attendants even seem to crown themselves Biscoff Queen.
In a Reddit post from 2019, a passenger snaps a picture of a flight attendant buckled into their seat for take-off, also wearing the iconic Biscoff crown.
What do other travellers think of the Biscoff crown?
After Soma put the playful Delta tradition on viewers’ radar, some plot to get the crown on their next trip.
“Wait can we normalize this .. one special person gets the air mermaid crown each flight,” one suggests.
A second jokes, “How does it feel to live my dream?”
“I know who I’m flying with for my future Bach bc I too would want a biscoff crown!” another remarks.
Others say they’ve also experienced heartwarming gestures from Delta flight attendants when travelling on a special day.
“I’ll never forget when my professor told our united attendants it was my birthday and they made me an ice cream Sunday and all signed a card and gave me a little amenity kit,” one says, sharing a picture of the card.
Another says she recieved a thoughtful surprise when she told the flight attendant she loved Biscoff cookies. She writes, “She stuffed a bag full of them for me and surprised me with them! Made my whole trip! Delta is really the best!”
A third says that Delta even made it right when her flight ran out of the cookies. “One time I tweeted at delta that I was sad they ran out of cookies on my fight because I always look forward to them but I was excited for my next flight,” they comment. “They got my address from my FF account and they sent me like 20 lol.”
