Wedding dress shopping is meant to be one of the highlights of planning the whole thing. However, for one bride-to-be, the experience was ruined at David’s Bridal.

In a TikTok with over 107,100 views, TikToker Kileigh Belford (@ki_secret_) shared a picture of herself trying on a wedding dress. Her clip had the following on-screen caption: “Don’t go to David’s Bridal unless you want to be degraded by the employees and they secretly whisper about how you’re “lying” about getting married.”

“Literally ruined my experience,” she added in the video description.

Do people dislike David’s Bridal?

Based on the comments, it looks like Belford wasn’t the only one to have a bad experience at David’s Bridal.

“I had the WORST experience at David’s being a young bride, I highly recommend going to small boutiques,” one wrote.

“Went there to try on prom dresses and they told me good luck getting a size 16 dress,” a second shared. “They were so rude.”

While a third echoed, “I went there forever ago for my junior year prom dress and had an awful experience too. I’m so sorry.”

And a fourth added, “They did the same thing to my friend at the one in Knoxville (is that one even still open???). She was getting married within 6 months. She ended up buying a dress somewhere else. They are horribly scared bc young girls do go in just to play dress up. But like if it’s a slow day all you’re doing is making the store look more popular.”

A fifth shared, “For real worst experience ever. I got told I looked like a child bride i ended up going with a small business and they were so sweet!”

Meanwhile, a sixth said, “I also had a horrible experience at David’s bridal. The worker was getting mad bc I wasn’t picking any of the dresses she picked out (which were completely opposite of what I said I liked).”

That being said, there were also a number of comments from those who described positive experiences at David’s Bridal. When asked by a commenter who they “need to fight,” Belford shared a photo of the store assistants in question.

Woman kicked out of David’s Bridal

Another TikToker also went viral after her own disappointing experience at David’s Bridal.

TikToker Kate (@makeupbykatejane) went to David’s Bridal to find a dress for her engagement shoot or rehearsal dinner. She had already bought her primary wedding dress.

Kate says she was taken aback by the fact that she couldn’t browse the store alone. She was assigned a stylist. Then, her assigned stylist left halfway through to serve a client with a pre-booked appointment.

The most shocking part? Kate says she was asked to leave. In the video caption, she wrote, “They were so nice and respectful but I wish they warned me that they may need to ask me to leave!!”
