Want to See Six Minutes of The Dark Knight Rises?

Questions! Questions That Need Answering

Well, you’re gonna have to pay for Mission: Imposible – Ghost Protocol. In IMAX.

Echoing an intiative begun with The Dark Knight, Warner Bros. (we’ve been doing an awful lot of Warner Bros. stories today) is attaching the first six minutes of The Dark Knight Rises to one of its upcoming IMAX theater releases.

The last time this happened, the Joker’s opening bank robbery sequence was attached to the beginning of I Am Legend, and I personally declined the opportunity because I decided I’d rather see the whole movie in one sitting. Now… well, I’ll probably wait until somebody posts it online.

Ghost Protocol comes out in general release on December 21st, up against Tintin, and Dragon Tattoo, but according to /Film, it will be released in IMAX five days before that. So you can expect to find it on the internet and/or dodge spoilers about it sometime after December 16th. Ghost Protocol‘s enjoyability as a movie seems up in the air at the moment, at least to me, but if I had to pick a first-time-live-action director to give the TDKR bump to, Brad Bird would probably be on the list.

She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
