Dan Abrams

Dan Abrams is the Founder of the Abrams Media Network.

Dan was the General Manager of MSNBC from 2006 to 2007; during his tenure ratings grew by 62% and he branded the network “The Place for Politics.” In the four years prior to his management appointment, Dan hosted “The Abrams Report,” a nightly legal affairs program, and later “Verdict with Dan Abrams.”

In the past two years Abrams’s company, the Abrams Media Network, has become one of the nation’s most successful and widely read digital media conglomerates. It includes: Mediaite.com, fashion and style site Styleite.com, Geekosystem.com for tech lovers and Sportsgrid.com. Dan is also the co-founder of Gossipcop.com, the first major web site to police the gossip industry for inaccuracies in reporting. Together the sites are viewed by over 7 million unique visitors per month. Dan also runs digital media strategy firm Abrams Research, which advises multinational corporations, not-for-profits, and government agencies on how to use web tools in the most effective way possible.

A Columbia University Law grad, Abrams is also a recognized writer. He has published articles in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, The American Lawyer, and the Yale Law & Policy Review, among many others. He has also written for online media such as the Huffington Post, the Daily Beast and, of course, regularly for Mediaite. Dan is also the legal columnist for Men’s Health magazine, and the host of “Chasing Justice with Dan Abrams,” which was recently renewed for a second season on The Discovery Channel. He is the former Chief Legal Analyst for MSNBC, and is now a Legal Analyst for ABC News, appearing frequently on “Good Morning America.” He is the author of “Man Down: Proof That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Hedge Fund Managers, and Just About Everything Else.”
