Dallas woman walks out of a spray tan appointment on the windiest day and her dress suddenly flew above her head: ‘I don’t wear underwear underneath’
Dallas got the show of a lifetime.

A fresh spray tan is supposed to leave you with a confidence boost. But for Dallas creator Theresa Rowley (@littledrownedrat), it left her with a lot more exposure than she bargained for.
In a TikTok video with over 457,000 views, Theresa detailed a nightmarish ordeal that followed her recent spray tan appointment. When she stepped out of her car for groceries, she lost the high-stakes gamble of wearing her “spray tan dress.”
Apparently, Dallas had chosen that specific day and time to be extra windy. And Theresa’s dress decided to go with the flow, leaving her exposed to the city.
Theresa wore her ‘loosey-goosey’ spray tan dress for the perfect tan lines
On the fateful day, Theresa emerged from her spray tan appointment looking like a “lubed-up sleep paralysis demon.” Understandably, she was wearing a specific loose garment she only uses for tans. It was a black flowy dress, loose enough to get the perfect tan lines.
To ensure a flawless finish with zero streaks, she opted to go commando under the dress. “I don’t wear underwear underneath it because… tan lines,” she explained.
A sudden gust caused her spray tan dress to fly above her head
Theresa admitted that she was enjoying her “dirty little secret” while walking her “toasted buttercup a— across the parking lot.” She was on her way to buy Sprouts for some fiber. But it didn’t go as expected.
Theresa’s dirty little secret didn’t stay hidden for long. As fate had it, she had stepped out on “the windiest day in Dallas.” And without warning, a powerful gust came and her “loosey-goosey dress mother-goosed” directly above her head.
The mishap left her “bits” on full display for anyone within eyeshot of the parking lot. “Everyone got a gander,” she remarked, noting that the city “saw it all for free.”
The chaotic reactions included a Cybertruck crash
Theresa colorfully detailed the fallout of her accidental flash. She claimed that the sight was so jarring that “a mother screamed, a child cowered, [and] a Cyber truck crashed.”
She joked that the onlookers saw her “chicharrones and bongos,” basically seeing “more than any man I’ve ever dated.” Despite the trauma of the “full display,” Theresa leaned into the humor of the situation. She acknowledged that she can “never go back” to that Sprouts again.
Why do people wear loose dresses with no underwear to get a spray tan?
Spray tan solutions require several hours to “set” before they can be washed off. During this window, any tight clothing, especially underwear elastics, can create permanent lines or patches in the tan. This is why “spray tan dresses” are typically oversized and lightweight.
However, as Theresa learned, the lack of weight in these fabrics makes them incredibly susceptible to wind. So, it’s better to wear dark, loose-fitting “palazzo” pants or long maxi skirts that have more weight at the hem. That will save you from a Dallas-style “mother-goose” incident.
How to avoid a parking lot flash after your tan
If you’re planning on being a “toasted buttercup” like Theresa, remember to protect your privacy. Before stepping out, check the weather app. If the wind speeds are above 15 mph, skip the short, loose dress in favor of oversized, flowy pants.
In case you must wear a dress, safety pin a small weight (like a heavy coin) to the inside hem. This provides enough ballast to keep the dress down during sudden gusts.
Holding a large tote bag or shopping bag against the front of your legs can also act as a physical shield while walking across open parking lots. And if your wardrobe fails even then, just take it like Theresa because humor is the best coping mechanism.
