The woman kept adding cabbages, ranch dressing, and pork chops while Allison was still trying to finish, even after Allison pushed the items back. Instead of backing off, the woman dropped the divider down, signaling her spot.
Allison, not wanting to cause a scene, let it slide. Again. The worst part is this isn’t the first time it’s happened to her. Allison says it’s the second incident, and she’s clearly fed up. She describes the Aldi checkout experience as already stressful – only two employees working, no bagging service, and the expectation to move quickly.

The Aldi checkout process is part of the reason the situation felt so chaotic. Allison loves Aldi for its low prices, but the setup is no-frills. You use a quarter to get a cart, bag your own groceries, and the staff is minimal. There’s no time to waste, and when someone cuts in line, literally, it throws everything off. Allison was already moving fast, trying to keep up with the pace, and the woman’s actions only added to the pressure.
