‘As long as the shareholders are happy’: Gavin Newsom is selling knee pads for all CEOs ‘bending the knee’ to King Donald Trump

Throughout his second term as the President of the United States, one of Donald Trump and his administration’s strongest critics has been Gavin Newsom. On multiple occasions, the California governor has called out the dictator-in-chief, demanding accountability for his actions, which Trump has, of course, denied.

Gavin Newsom is currently in the most unhinged era of his life. If you take a moment to look at his social media profiles, particularly his X (formerly Twitter) account, you’ll find that a significant portion of his posts is dedicated to criticising Donald Trump, and rightly so. Since taking office, Trump has certainly provided ample reasons for the judgment he faces.

There has not been a Trump-related topic that Gavin Newsom has not addressed on social media and in public. He has discussed Trump’s inhumane immigration policies, the government shutdown (which is partly his fault), his efforts to deter protesters from participating in No Kings protests, his disrespect towards female journalists (including the infamous “quiet piggy” moment), and his tendency to fall asleep during Oval Office meetings (which has happened multiple times, in case you missed it), among other issues. On many occasions, when he condemns Donald Trump, Trump also critiques him in return, either through social media or during press conferences. This back-and-forth between two big-shot public figures has provided great amusement for those who get to witness it. To make things even more interesting, Newsom recently hinted at a possible presidential run in the upcoming 2028 elections, which means the public can expect to see more of the rivalry between Newsom and Trump.

That said, Gavin Newsom is taking another shot at Donald Trump, and this time he’s going big. During the recent New York Times Deal Book Summit, Newsom confessed to selling knee pads for “all CEOs, universities, and GOP bending the knee” to Donald Trump on his Patriot Site, a website where he sells merchandise and occasionally takes jabs at Trump. The news of him having a specific site dedicated to mocking Trump was surprising to many, leading to curiosity among those who visited the site, only to find that the knee pads were sold out. His strong anti-Trump sentiments during his recent appearance sparked conversations, especially on platforms like X.

One individual on the platform while echoing Gavin Newsom’s sentiments about Donald Trump wrote:

Another person on the platform unleashed themself on Donald Trump with strong words of disparagement and said:

Many others echoed similar sentiments.
