Faith Erin Hicks‘ latest graphic novel is made up of strips from her occasional webcomic The Adventures of Superhero Girl, appearing in full color for the first time ever (thanks to the coloring talent of Cris Peter). Dark Horse has offered us a seven page preview of how those colored strips will look, so come on in and take a sample of the life of Canada’s hardest working girl superhero!

The book, suitable for ages ten an up, will be available in book stores and comic shops everywhere starting February 20th, priced at $16.99, and can be preordered from Dark Horse Comics right here.

ADVENTURES OF SUPERHERO GIRL (HARDCOVER COLLECTION)

What if you can leap tall buildings and defeat alien monsters with your bare hands, but you buy your capes at secondhand stores and have a weakness for kittens? Cartoonist Faith Erin Hicks brings charming humor to the trials and tribulations of a young, female superhero, battling monsters both supernatural and mundane in an all-too-ordinary world.

* A lighthearted twist on the superhero genre!

Susana Polo
Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
