A man from San Diego wanted to give his girlfriend a cute surprise, but it seems to have gone terribly wrong.
@mag_eric, a joint couple account run by Mags and Eric, shared a video to their TikTok account showing Mags reacting to a surprise Eric prepared for her. While Eric eagerly revealed his artwork, the eerie background music and Mags’ expression quickly suggested she wasn’t nearly as enthusiastic. Her caption confirmed it, writing, “good intentions but my god.”
Eric’s Surprise for His Girlfriend Seemingly Backfires on Him
Mags and Eric’s TikTok video opens with Eric asking Mags not to make fun of him. He explains that he saw an idea he thought would be cute and proceeds to show what he made. As he turns the photo frame in his hands, a handmade drawing is shown.
Speaking of surprises, a single mom from Las Vegas went out with her baby daddy and started reconsidering things because of one.
Eric drew stick figures of himself, Mags, and their cat. Not only that, but he also added some of his own hair to the picture and glued it on. He then suggested they use some of their cat’s hair loose fur and stick it on, while also proposing that Mags give some of her hair.
To top it all off, Eric suggested that Mags put the picture in her office. The video ends with the couple laughing together over his unusual creation.
People in the Comments Section Are Making Fun of the Incident
Eric’s unusual gift quickly resonated with TikTok users. At the time of writing, the video has amassed more than 6 million views and over 1 million likes, with commenters split between laughing at the handmade keepsake and sharing stories of their own unconventional gifts.
Some viewers couldn’t get over Eric’s commitment to the project. User @victoriaglenster joked, “I love how he committed first by chopping off his own hair voluntarily.”
User @maferhdezarias added, “I wanna cry just picturing him cutting his hair and supergluing it to the drawing HAHAHAA it’s adorable and so freaking funny.”
Others responded by sharing similar experiences. User @paypayy520 commented, “My husband GLUED his chest hair on a card and put a laser aimed at it for my Christmas gift when I asked for laser hair removal.”
Meanwhile, user @theryleyluzoo wrote, “…A couple years ago, the top of my husband’s finger was cut off while he was working on something. I saved it and epoxied it inside a locket with a photo of him next to it.”
