New Orleans woman flies with Frontier. Then her designer perfumes in her bag go missing during Atlanta layover: ‘Definitely part of a larger scam’

A New Orleans woman took a flight with Frontier Airlines. Then she realized the multiple designer perfumes in her bag were allegedly stolen.
“I’m gonna need Frontier to come to the front,” said Príncess DaGoat (@sheisdivine777) in a TikTok video with more than 5,000 views. According to her, someone from the airline stole the perfumes from her luggage.
What Happened With Her Luggage?
Príncess told her audience that she packed her items in her luggage and checked it. She flew to New Orleans from Chicago without any trouble.
During her return trip, the TikToker had a six-hour layover in Atlanta. Throughout her stay in the airport terminal, she thought her bag was safe. However, when she received her luggage again, she realized the three designer perfumes she packed were missing.
The TikToker said that someone from Frontier Airlines took the perfumes. She then showed the empty cases that she said were left in her luggage.
Is Frontier Running Making It Harder To File A Claim?
From there, Príncess tried to make a claim with the airline, but she couldn’t. Frontier has an explicit policy that passengers must make claims for lost items within 24 hours of a flight.
“It tells me it’s after 24 hours, you would have to contact Frontier’s baggage service agent,” Príncess said. “That’s what it says. It doesn’t say who, it doesn’t say what agent, it doesn’t even give you a number. It just says you would have to contact Frontier’s baggage service agent.”
The TikToker called Frontier to ask who she needs to make the claim to. She said a man gave her directions to fill out a form and report the items as missing.
“The man directed me to submit a form on the website. I submitted the form, the incident form or whatever, and he also gave me Atlanta’s lost and found number. Didn’t need the number. My [expletive] wasn’t lost,” Príncess said.
She filled out the forms anyway. Then she got contacted by another Frontier employee, who told her she filled out the wrong form. They directed her to another virtual form.
Príncess told her audience that she couldn’t fill out the second form due to an error message that appeared after submission. After some back-and-forth via email, they told her she needed to call “Frontier’s baggage service agent.”
Back-and-forth With Frontier
Príncess said she finally got in touch with a customer service representative who could help her with the situation. But she hit another dead end. The TikToker said the baggage service agent put her on hold for 15 minutes and had her speak to a higher-up in the company.
At first, Príncess said the supervisor was trying to seek a resolution with her. Then she said he told her there was nothing they could do.
“Oh, well, per our policy, we’re not supposed to go between anybody’s bag, so Frontier couldn’t have went through the bag. It would’ve had to be TSA,” the supervisor allegedly said.
To Príncess, the supervisor was essentially saying that the TSA removed the perfumes after seeing them in her bag. The lack of resolution was frustrating for the TikToker.
“And Frontier, you definitely are a part of a bigger scam, and you [expletive] need a RICO case,” Príncess added.
Other Passenger Dilemmas
Príncess is not the first person to say that items were stolen from their luggage. Some reports have shared that there’s a large number of people who report having items stolen by TSA screeners. In addition, criminal investigations have proved that some screeners have taken items belonging to passengers.
In 2012, two men were arrested after searching through passengers’ belongings and stealing from them. The men were only caught after officers set up hidden cameras inside their workplace, which exposed that they were hiding laptops and cameras.
“While TSA officers are watched on surveillance video as they check your luggage, baggage handlers get a free pass at your stuff,” an article from CBS reported.
More recently, a baggage handler was arrested and charged with two felony counts of grand theft after stealing roughly $16,000 worth of goods from passengers. The theft was discovered because a passenger left an AirTag in their luggage.
In an update, Príncess clarified that she did not find her perfumes. “Frontier literally, they didn’t even give me correct information to…go the other options,” she said.
