Oscar Isaac Has a Lot of Correct Opinions on Marvel. Including Who Should Be Ghost Rider

It’s obvious from the projects that he takes that Oscar Isaac has great taste.
Dune, Ex Machina, Scenes From a Marriage, Inside Llewyn Davis…the list of great roles is as endless as his range, and it seems his good opinions are also plentyfold. While appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz Isaac was unequivocal about the calls for Ryan Gosling to play Ghost Rider as the famous character enters the rebooted MCU for the first time.
The biker who flings fire has always been a fan favourite, and Gosling has not been quiet about the fact he wants to take on the role as his long awaited introduction to the MCU. He is a bonafide A-lister and would bring the perfect blend of stardust, passion, and range to a complicated character, something Isaac clearly also believes.
While many have been yearning for a solo Ghost Rider project, it appears most likely that the character will get his first look in a Midnight Suns film that Isaac has been teasing in recent interviews. The Beef actor seems set to reprise his role as Moon Knight, alongside Mahershala Ali who will appear as Blade. The actor playing Ghost Rider remains a mystery of course, but if it is Gosling, it will mean he and Isaac working together for the first time since Drive.
However, as is always the case with MCU IP, a lot of information is hush hush at the moment, allowing the rumor mill to churn and the hype train to rev up. Gosling is a man in demand and while money is no real object for the comic book juggernauts, he can pick and choose his role more than most, so if the writing isn’t on point he may not want to join the cast. One thing is for sure, though: the campaign for Gosling as Ghost Rider is only just beginning.
