In a video with over 1.7 million views, TikToker I_like.That (@na_cya) sits on the balcony of her Airbnb in Nashville. She says the man paid for her and her friend to fly on Delta to Nashville and covered a week at an Airbnb.

Did she meet Malik from Nashville?

She planned to hang out with Malik, whom she hadn’t met yet, for two days of the trip. But the day she was supposed to meet him, she got a call from his phone number.

“But it was a [expletive] on the phone talking about some, ‘[expletive] Why you talking to my boyfriend?'” she says. “First of all, your boyfriend‘s talking to me. And I would’ve been p—d too.”

The pair and Malik don’t meet up, as his girlfriend seemingly found out about their plan. However, the TikToker and her best friend made an “itinerary” and explored Nashville on their own.

At the end of the clip, she says all she had to cover was her return flight at the end of the trip.

“Shout out to Malik,” she says.

Why is Malik ‘the birthday’?

Commenters use the new “birthday” meme to joke about Malik’s generous vacation planning for the TikToker and her best friend.

Social media users have begun referring to people as “the birthday” as a reaction to someone being the “center of attention,” according to the Tab. The joke has evolved to include more versions, such as “You on point, you’re the birthday hat” and “You’re funny, you’re the birthday clown.” While some iterations of the joke are used as backhanded compliments, it generally has a positive connotation.

“Malik is so necessary, he the birthday budget,” one commenter remarks.

Another jokes, “Malik is the travel agent & the birthday presents.”

“Damn Malik you wild! you the birthday trip!!!” a third adds.

Other viewers say they wish Malik would fly them out, too, since the women got a free trip and didn’t even have to hang out with him.

“Tell malik I’m single with no kids,” a viewer says.

“Malik if you see this, my best friend and I also need a travel agent,” a second writes.
