Why Does Jabba the Hutt’s Son Have Abs?!

The closer we get to The Mandalorian & Grogu, the happier I get. But there is one thing that is leaving me a little uneasy: The yassification of Jabba the Hutt’s son.

The Mandalorian & Grogu is set to release this coming May. Fans who went to see The Bride! in theaters this weekend got to see the trailer for the film, which reunites Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin with his small green son. And it has made many fans excited to see what the movie has in store for us all. But a new image from an Empire exclusive on the film has me scared.

Rotta the Hutt is played by Jeremy Allen White and a new image of him from the film has surfaced. The issue? He has abs. I’m afraid of them. The Hutts cannot have the possibility of being hot. Not that I find Rotta the Hutt hot but the abs mean there is a potential there I don’t want to unpack.

How exactly do abs work on a Hutt? Can they do crunches? I’ve never really thought about the logistics of how a Hutt functions in the world. Mainly because I wasn’t exactly Jabba’s biggest fan and he just kind of slithered around. But the knowledge that a Hutt can have abs throws everything I willingly thought about them out the window.

Look, happy for Jabba’s kid who is clearly going to have some issues since his father is dead thanks to Luke Skywalker and company but hey, at least he is the hotter of the Hutts? Don’t worry, I hated writing that and thinking about it. But it is unfortunately true. If you’re into abs and all that.

Really I am afraid of Rotta. I don’t care that one of his nicknames is “Stinky,” he still has abs and that feels wrong. Until we get to see him in action, we must all think about his ab workout. Do you think he goes to space pilates?
