Thomas Massie is giving JD Vance a little blast from the past he might not like

United States Representative Thomas Massie is digging up dirt on Vice President JD Vance, and he is doing it very publicly. After being at loggerheads with his own party over the Jeffrey Epstein case, Massie, other members of Congress, and people around the world finally saw the controversial Epstein Files come out; however, since then, it hasn’t impacted the lives of the people mentioned (some under suspicious circumstances) as much as it should, at least not in the United States. In other places, people are resigning, getting arrested, and whatnot.
Thomas Massie is once again shedding light on the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, but this time from a different angle. In his most recent stunt, Massie is targeting JD Vance, sharing some of his posts from the past discussing the importance of releasing the Epstein Files. He then contrasts them with his current outlook towards the case, which is basically to say yes to everything that his boss, Donald Trump, says. So, in this case, Trump has consistently said that the Epstein case is a Democratic hoax, and, in extension, Vance also believes the same.
JD Vance may have moved on from his Trump criticism phase, but Thomas Massie hasn’t
On February 17, 2026, Thomas Massie was on a roll as he dropped one bomb after another on X (formerly Twitter), and he didn’t require much to do that, just one post. JD Vance hoped it could have been wiped out from the face of the Earth if given the opportunity, just so he could give Trump zero reasons to doubt him, but alas, that was too far from being possible. So what was this post about?
On Tuesday, Massie shared a post made by JD Vance on September 4, 2021. This was from the time when he was a known Trump critic, and in the post, he highlighted that the Jeffrey Epstein case wasn’t being investigated properly. He wrote, “Remember when we learned that our wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring? And then that guy died mysteriously in jail? And now we just don’t talk about it.” Massie, while reposting this, wrote, “Some of us never forgot.” Additionally, he went to the original post and dropped a comment under it, stating, “Yeah, why is that?”
The DOJ has revealed that it will release no additional Jeffrey Epstein files
As Thomas Massie completely obliterates Vance on social media on the topic of the Jeffrey Epstein case, much more serious stuff is happening behind the scenes related to it. As of Saturday, the Department of Justice had sent communication to members of Congress letting them know that they had reached the end of the release of the Epstein Files; in short, there is nothing more that they are going to release.
Besides this piece of information, the letter sent by Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche also contained information on how the DOJ worked on the files, highlighting that there were no malpractices involved. The letter also contained the names of all those people who had been mentioned at least once in the Epstein Files.
