Everyone loves a good detective story and MASTERPIECE Mystery! has brought fans a new obsession: Maigret! The hit series is wrapping up its first season and we are excited to share an exclusive clip from the finale!

The series itself is one of the many comforting detective shows that the platform offers. With shows like The Gold, The Marlow Murder Club, and more, fans can find something to love. Like Maigret and the new cases we get to solve with each new episode! And what a perfect time to dive in if you haven’t watched it yet.

Chief Inspector Maigret (Benjamin Wainwright) works for the Paris Police Judiciaire and has a lot of investigations to solve. And in the finale, we get to see him go back to his roots and have to use his family in order to get some evidence that he needs. At least in the clip we’re sharing from the finale!

In the clip, we get to see Maigret talking with a man who isn’t really being that helpful but when Maigret sees something in a painting that can help him, he takes the painting and says that it belonged to his father. Honestly, it is kind of iconic of him!

The series is described as follows: “Chief Inspector Maigret is a rising star in the Paris Police Judiciaire, relentless in his investigations, with an uncanny ability to get under the skin of the criminals he is chasing and a matchless knowledge of Paris.”

As we gear up for the finale of Maigret, you can watch an exclusive clip from the series here that features Benjamin Wainwright as Jules Maigret, on the case!

The season finale of Maigret airs Sunday, November 9 at 9/8c on MASTERPIECE Mystery! on PBS. The series is also available to stream via PBS and PBS MASTERPIECE on Prime Video.
