Colonel Gathers Brings You a Hotplate of Boiling Love in This Sneak Peek of Venture Bros. Season Five

A friend and I were just discussion how one would even begin to explain the context of any thing in this video to someone who hadn’t watched The Venture Bros. If these out of context snippets are presented to be weird and tantalizing for fans, I can’t imagine how bizarre they look for someone who isn’t familiar with the bombastic, trope-dense tone of the show. All I can say to those people is that if it looks like the main characters of this show are, for example, a blonde bruiser with a mullet and a metal plate in his chest, a hydrocephalic guy with one eye and a metal hand, and a military guy with a V tattooed on his face and libido-suppressant-related mammary growths… you’re actually absorbing some of the basic facts of the show really clearly. Good job.

Man, I can’t wait for the new season.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
