With the highs and lows of the 2022 Academy Awards already discussed ad nauseum, we can now look forward to the Grammys. Like the music version of the Oscars, the Grammy Awards honor the year’s best musicians. Possibly even better than the awards themselves (sometimes nominations and lack of nominations cause controversy), are the live performances.
Usually, the show tries to mix in several types of artists from various genres to create a solid representation of contemporary music. In the past, performers mix up their normal style and play with another musician who is on the other end of the music spectrum, creating memorable performances. Some memorable examples are Lady Gaga playing with Metallica and the duet between Sir Elton John and Eminem. Viewers love to see legends share the stage, like when Beyoncé and Tina Turner sang together.
Hopefully, the 2022 Grammy Awards brings us some great musical moments. Looking over the list of performers, there are several who could easily steal the show.
