This Is Not a Drill: John Boyega Met With Marvel About a “Superhero Role”

Recommended Videos

There’s no doubt at this point that John Boyega is an amazing action star who should be in every great franchise. It’s unsurprising then, that the Star Wars actor, who’s currently doing the press rounds for Pacific Rim Uprising let it slip that he might join another big cinematic universe.

At Awesome Con in Washington, D.C., a fan reportedly “floated the idea of him taking on a role in the MCU” to which the actor replied that he’d had talks with Marvel about a superhero role. To be honest, it’s surprising that he hasn’t already been in a big superhero movie.

Boyega didn’t confirm anything, nor did he give any further hints about what those talks were about—though he did emphasize in a different question that he’s flattered but uninterested in a Blade reboot, as it’d be a “spit in the face” to Wesley Snipes. Understandable.

Who do you want to see John Boyega play in the MCU?
