Did Mark Hamill and James Gunn Work Out a Guardians of the Galaxy Role on Twitter?

Sometimes Twitter is a shit-show. Sometimes, it makes some pretty cool things possible. Like, when celebrities just chat with each other about things like movie roles in front of everyone. This time, a fan may have made it possible for Mark Hamill to be considered for a role in the upcoming installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.

A fan named @IanFee on Twitter reached out to Guardians writer/director James Gunn with a request that could’ve come from any of us if we thought it would’ve done any good:

Gunn seemed to consider it, and revealed that it was really possible, considering that he and Hamill are neighbors and all, and they can just, like, go to each other’s houses or whatever:

That would’ve been cool on its own, except that Hamill himself (that’s his Twitter handle and everything) got in on the action, too:

Then the interaction continued as if the entire internet wasn’t watching (except probably specifically because the internet was watching):

Naturally, those who watched it unfold in real time were really excited:

And even celebrity fans were getting hyped:

So, like, who’s inviting Josh Gad over?
