Things We Saw Today: All Hail The Master’s Return to Doctor Who

Actor John Simm will reprise his role as notorious Doctor Who nemesis The Master. As one of the series’ most effective and long-running Big Bads, this is good news for Whovians.

The character of The Master has a long and storied history on Who. It’s been “portrayed by eight different actors since its introduction in 1971’s ‘Terror of the Autons’ episode,” and most recently by Simm and Michelle Gomez. Gomez will also fill the Master’s shoes this season, so are we looking at a Master vs. Master battle, or the team-up of centuries? (via Blastr)
