Unkar Plutt Pisses Off the Wrong Wookiee in The Force Awakens Deleted Scene

Recommended Videos

For only being in The Force Awakens a handful of minutes, Unkar Plutt certainly left an impression on folks. He was, in some way, a bit of a, uh … let’s say important character in that he was the one who received Rey (according to her Force flashback) back on Jakku. That plus the fact that it was apparently Simon Pegg under the mask certainly made me wonder if we’d ever see more of the junkyard owner. Thanks to the deleted scenes in the 3D Blu-Rey (it’s gonna happen, I swear) edition of The Force Awakens, we get to find out what ultimately happened to the guy.

Apparently after Rey and Finn escaped Jakku in the Millennium Falcon, Plutt tracked them down, following them to Takodana. He pops up in Maz Kanata’s bar and accosts Rey, threatening her. Of course, Rey’s newfound pal Chewbacca is nearby and backs Rey up, getting all angry at Plutt, who just threatens Chewie right back, poking his bandaged arm.

The scene fades out before we can see Chewbacca’s assuredly violent rebuttal. I don’t believe Plutt would ever survive such an encounter, and if he did, then he’d be something of a really lucky … whatever-he-is.

You can see for yourself how the deleted scene ends when the Blu-Rey comes out on November 15th.
