Please just let her wield a giant mallet at some point.

We may not have a whole lot of faith in the DC movie universe at this point, and there may be some things in particular about Suicide Squad that worry us, but as someone who grew up with Batman: The Animated Series, I can’t help but stay positive about seeing Harley Quinn in a movie until I actually get to see the movie. Until then, I’ll have to make do with this Harley Quinn trailer.

Harley’s not the only Suicide Squad character to be excited about, though. Viola Davis’s Amanda Waller already got her own brief teaser, and it appears that she’s going to be a tough act to compete with. Meanwhile, we’ve also got a new clip of Waller and Enchantress as the media blitz ramping up to the movie’s release continues.

“It feels good to be bad … Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super-Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do.”

Suicide Squad hits theaters in just over two weeks, on August 5, 2016.
