Kevin Smith’s Yoga Hosers Gets Release Date and Tour

After a premiere at Sundance that officially introduced young stars Harley Quinn Smith and Lily-Rose Depp to the world, Kevin Smith’s R-rated “girl-power monster movie” Yoga Hosers finally has a release date! Even cooler is that a couple of cities will be lucky enough to be stops on a limited tour for the film.

Newbie company Invincible Pictures snagged the rights for Yoga Hosers as their first theatrical release, and audiences in the U.S. will get to see the film on July 29th! Here’s a description of the film, as reported by Deadline Hollywood:

Yoga Hosers follows 15-year-olds Colleen Collette and Colleen McKenzie, the two previously unnamed Manitoban convenience store clerks from Tusk. When an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada’s crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party, the pair join forces with Guy Lapointe, the manhunter from Tusk, to fight back.

Harley Quinn Smith stars as Colleen McKenzie with Lily-Rose Depp as Colleen Collette. Depp’s dad (you know that dude, right?) plays Guy Lapointe, and Smith’s dad (that other dude you know) directs, so it’s a total family affair.

If you head over to the official film website RIGHT NOW, tickets have gone on sale for the Yoga Hosers limited tour leading up to the film’s wider release nationwide. Cities will be added, but for now, these cities and dates are available (and have been since 11AM Pacific Time):

  • New Orleans, LA at the Joy Theater on 6/1
  • Ponte Vedra, FL at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on 6/2
  • Houston, TX at The Houston Improv on 6/6
  • Columbus, OH at Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse on 6/12
  • Durham, NC at The Carolina Theatre on 7/8
  • San Jose, CA at The Improv on 7/12
  • San Francisco, CA at Cobbs Comedy Club on 7/17

So…who’s going? Get ready for the next installment in Kevin Smith’s True North Trilogy!
