Captain America: Civil War Plus Adele’s “Hello” Equals Beautiful Cinnamon Roll Too Good For This World, Too Pure

The Captain America: Civil War trailer has been called many things; great, terrible, awesome, boring, you name it. But to me, it never quite reached its full potential until I saw this incredibly genius mashup of the Civil War trailer and Adele’s heartbroken apology ballad, “Hello.”

If you listen to the lyrics of “Hello,” you’ll know that it’s Adele apologizing to an ex after they’ve broken up. Unfortunately, that ex never picks up the phone, so she’s leaving them a voice message in the hopes that they’ll listen to her singing her heart out over the phone.

What does this have to do with Civil War, you ask? Well, friend. If you’re asking that, then you’ve obviously not spent much time around Stucky fans, have you? When you think about it, “Hello” is totally the unofficial theme song of Civil War. Steve’s totally trying to get back his bestie, Bucky, and obviously has all sorts of emotions about that. Of course, when I say bestie, it’s totally in the same way the media talks about Kristen Stewart and her “live-in gal pal” (read: girlfriend).

Put simply: Steve is Adele, and Bucky is the ex who won’t pick up the phone because seriously just answer his calls, he looks like such a sad golden retriever puppy when you don’t it’s really bad you should see it sometime.
