Halo 5‘s Next Update Includes 16-Player Vehicle Battles

The team behind Halo 5: Guardians have made an extended effort to keep players coming back for more, making a commitment to dropping content and offering ongoing support—and now we’ve finally got a peek at what’s coming in their latest announcement. The first thing? Big Team Battles are getting an upgrade.

While this update will undoubtedly hearken back to the BTBs of yore, 343 Industries is announcing that along with the official release of the playlist next week we’ll have the chance to jump in a Ghost and take down our enemies on four brand-new maps.

According to the Halo crew, however, players will notice that some adjustments have been made to take into account all of the new weapons we’ve been equipping and using in Guardians thus far. Check out the infographic below for what we can expect in terms of some new REQ items:

There’s also a new assassination animation called “Shove It”, which looks pretty sweet as only most Halo assassinations can.

Are you ready to dive into the new Big Team Battle maps? I know I am.
