Wil Wheaton Almost Makes My Star Trek Reboot Come True With Carl From The Walking Dead

I See What They Did There

This is just the best. Not too long ago, I took it upon myself to recast the actors of Star Trek: The Next Generation in a theoretical reboot. I was prepared for the worst from casual and hardcore fans alike, but it actually got an extremely positive response. I even found out that one of the TNG actors, Wil Wheaton, posted about it on his Facebook saying it was “awesome.” Year. Made. And then I saw this. Unbeknownst to me, Wheaton has met the actor I chose to replace his character, Wesley Crusher, in the reboot – Chandler Riggs, aka Carl from AMC’s The Walking Dead – and made a short video with him cracking wise at both their alter egos. Wheaton said it was filmed earlier this year (I’m guessing at a convention) but he just posted on his YouTube channel yesterday. I’m so glad he did.
