Puns aside, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix’s Tomb Raider reboot promises a grittier setting, a focus on character, and a young, lone Lara Croft who comes into her own as an adventurer and explorer over the course of the story. We’d say the first full cinematic trailer doesn’t disprove this thesis, but there’ll be lots more publicity to look at between now and when the game is released next year.
