Tomb Raider Reboot Trailer is 100% Cinematic

Puns aside, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix’s Tomb Raider reboot promises a grittier setting, a focus on character, and a young, lone Lara Croft who comes into her own as an adventurer and explorer over the course of the story. We’d say the first full cinematic trailer doesn’t disprove this thesis, but there’ll be lots more publicity to look at between now and when the game is released next year.

    Yeah, come on. Pants are ridiculous. Anyone that would go spelunking in booby-trapped caves, swinging through the jungle on vines, or repelling down Himalayan cliffs would have the good sense to wear booty shorts and a cute little backpack.

    You realize this is not actual gameplay, right? The graphics always look better in the trailers.

    Y’all have GOT to do something about these fucking ads; I can’t even watch video content here anymore because the ads are so intrusive as to obscure the video or crash my machine. I’m starting to not to want to hit this site anymore because of it.
