Wait, what?

Symphony of Science

  1. Symphony of Science Autotunes the Discovery of the Higgs Boson [VIDEO]

    The Future Is Now!

There might be a time when I get sick of Symphony of Science's videos featuring scientists grooving out in all their autotuned glory, but it's not here yet. Their latest video, called "The Face of Creation," is about one of the year's biggest scientific (probable) discoveries: The Higgs boson. Join me in raising a glass of imaginary wine to whatever it is scientists end up discovering in 2013. My fingers are crossed, as always, for aliens. 2. Watch the History of the World in Under Two Minutes [VIDEO]

It's A World of Laughter A World of Tears

I like natural history. I love montages. (They're always my favorite part of the Oscars. Don't judge me.) So this "video tapestry" depicting the history of the world from its beginning to the present day is like 1 minute, 37 seconds of condensed joy to me. To make the video the team at melodysheep (the same people who did those awesome Symphony of Science vids) combined original music with clips from 17 different films, mostly nature documentaries, edited seamlessly together. Planet Earth: It's pretty amazing. (via: io9)
