1.Shards of Equestria

That was a mouthful, I know, but this is a real thing. Now, before you get too excited, it's a fan creation so you won't find it in stores but this My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: The Gathering card set is available to download for free. The creators write, "Shards of Equestria is a fan-made, fully tested and completely playable custom card set for Magic: The Gathering based on the critically-acclaimed animated series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It's been play tested to work as close to an authentic set as possible, is available for download to print on your home printer or on a custom playing card deck, and above all else, is undeniably, unquestionably, un-put-down-ably 100% free."

What are you waiting for? Give them a look!

These are just a small sampling of the complete set available to download on the Shards of Equestria website. I imagine this must be pretty squee worthy for fans of both Magic: The Gathering and My Little Pony, no? They have a Twitter feed you can follow if you're interested.

In the few hours since I too posted news of this, I’ve learned that there’s a close race between how seriously MLP and M:tG fans take their stuff.

I’ve counted 6-7 things wrong with these cards. Most of them from wording and flavor standpoints. Other than that they’re some of the better MLP MTG cards I’ve seen.
