Woman’s husband says he’s ‘working late.’ So she asks him to prove he’s alone: ‘May love like this never find me’

Trust in marriage these days apparently comes with a CCTV feed and a periscope. One wife hopped on FaceTime when her husband claimed he was “working late.” She insisted he prove he was alone by conducting a full under-the-desk, corner-by-corner office sweep for her benefit. The poor guy dutifully filmed the whole humiliating tour, and now TikTok is split between calling her controlling and saying, “Show me the parking lot.”
‘Rule Number 1: Don’t trust anyone’
Tana’s (@tanalamb) caption says it all: you gotta keep your partner on their toes. Apparently, even if you’re married with kids. Her clip is of a screen recording of her on FaceTime with her husband.
In just a few days, the TikTok now has 3 million views and over 1,200 comments. Her text overlay reads, “Ever make your husband show you underneath his desk when he’s ‘working late.’”
The clip shows the point-of-view of the husband as he does a sweep of his office. He first shows the underside of his work desk, then–strangely–his trash bin. He then walks from behind the desk to in front, showing her a different perspective and getting into the nooks and crannies of the spaces between the desk and the wall.
The husband also shows two empty leather armchairs in front of his desk, presumably meant for guests, clients, etc. Lastly, he pans briefly to the open door and shows the empty hall. And Tana is just seen smiling the entire time. There are moments when she talks, but the audio has been cut from the video and overlaid with a TikTok audio.
Will This Prevent Cheating in a Marriage?
Seeing as Tana specifically mentions trust, it’s safe to assume that she’s making sure her husband isn’t cheating. Recently, there have been many stories surfacing of how women have caught their significant others being unfaithful.
Some are common stories like long-distance dating, while in others, women find out their husband-to-be cheated at their bachelor party. However, infidelity doesn’t always have to mean your partner is away constantly.
The Mary Sue covered a story where a woman discovered her boyfriend was cheating, even though they already spent the majority of their time together. The couple even shared their location with each other 24/7, and she had no reason to suspect something was wrong. That is, until the clues started piling up.
First, one of his alibis was odd, claiming he went to an apartment complex with his sister to buy some weed. Then, she got diagnosed with HPV. After a slew of incongruences, she finally discovered her boyfriend was cheating. At the end, she clarified that the lesson she learned was that infidelity can happen, “even when they [share] their location with you, even when you spend all your free time together, even when things seem perfect.”

People Judge Her Marriage
Tana is catching a lot of flak in her comments section. With plenty getting thousands of likes, the majority of the consensus believes that she is being unfair to her husband. One viewer says, “I feel so bad for him.” While another shares, “Ref flag… for sure I hope he find someone better.”
“Nightmare marriage,” comments another viewer.
Answering the question in her video, one viewer says, “Nah cuz I’m not insecure and I don’t have trust issues.”
Many choose to target Tana, one viewer calling her “insecurity final boss.” One viewer even speculates on Tana’s own faithfulness, writing, “This levels of distrust is usually brought on by projection……”
On the other hand, some add fuel to the fire. One viewer adds a screenshot of the leather armchair and asks, “Who was sitting here.” Tana then replies, “OMG YOU ARE RIGHT.”
“Why is there so many hiding spots,” asks a third viewer. And finally, one says, “Show me the parking lot.”
