Woman travels to Japan, learns her boyfriend hooked up with another woman. A month later, he’s dating her: ‘this is why i have trust issues!’

TikTok user @catstoriesss is sharing her story about when she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her. She also talks about the revenge she took. On March 20, 2026, Cat posted a video on her TikTok about the time her boyfriend cheated on her.
Turns out, her boyfriend, who was also living with her, went to Japan for three months of studies. From the start, Cat remembers her boyfriend struggling to adjust and saying he missed her often, which made her think he wanted her around. She suggested that since she could work from anywhere, she could go there with him for the last two months. He was okay with it at first but then changed his mind, saying he wanted to live independently. After a big fight, she cut her two-month trip down to three and a half weeks. Keep reading to see what happens next.
TikTok user @catstoriesss thought her boyfriend seemed less “intense”
While visiting her boyfriend in Japan, Cat mentions in her TikTok video that she began to feel something was off. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but had a gut feeling that something was wrong. She gave examples, like expecting more passion from him after being apart for so long, but he wasn’t as “intense” as she expected when they were intimate.
She also noticed he was posting stories on social media more often with her in them, but never tagging her, which she found strange. One day, after dinner, her boyfriend told her he needed to talk. She knew it wasn’t good news, and it turned out to be worse than she thought. He admitted that before her trip, he had slept with a woman, not once but three times. He apologized and explained it was just “physical,” assuring her he loved her. Cat told him she might forgive him later, but he was not receptive to it and said that he was also confused about what he wanted. She decided to leave Japan but had to wait three days for her flight. When she left, he promised she’d be the first to hear from him when he got back, but she never did. After a month, she got a message from him saying he was “official” with the woman he had cheated on her with. Even worse, he asked her to pack all his stuff and send it to his parents’ house. Heartbroken, angry, and vengeful, she packed his things in big garbage bags and left them near his parents’ trash. To this day, she doesn’t know if the trash collector took his belongings or his parents retrieved them, because she blocked him right after handing over the stuff and notifying him about it.
