Wingstop tells worker not to come back after she leaves for a family emergency, and now she’s airing all their dirty laundry

User @itsgracebailey’s video on TikTok is gaining significant traction. In it, she has enlisted everything that Wingstop wouldn’t want their customers to know after she was unfairly fired from her job there.
Among the things user @itsgracebailey highlighted in her December 24, 2025, post, which, as of this writing, has thousands of views, is that portion sizes offered at Wingstop are intentionally inconsistent. While boneless wings are weighed, the bones in wings are eyeballed. During rush hours, speed takes precedence over accuracy, allowing the same order to appear completely different each time. Grace also highlighted another alarming fact about Wingtsop that pertains to food wastage. She notes that trays of wings, fries and sides are thrown away before the outlets close, even if the food was cooked minutes earlier. Additionally, employees are not allowed to take anything home and will get “written up if they do.”

User @itsgracebailey’s experience of getting fired from a Wingstop is quite sad and, honestly, not something that should have happened. I believe she realises that and is therefore taking the actions available to her in an effort to get back at them. And, what other way to do that than calling them out on social media? The fact that she is doing this via TikTok, one of the most popular social media apps out there, means that she will be able to reach a much wider audience.
Some of the things Grace wants everyone to know about Wingstop have been mentioned before, but what really got her fired? Apparently, visiting her sister, who was facing a medical emergency. Grace’s post mentions that she was working a busy Friday rush hour shift at Wingstop when she received a message from her sister saying that she was in the Emergency Room. She then informed her shift lead about the situation and told him that she had to take leave, for which he gave permission. However, after two days, she was called tothe office and fired from her job for “leaving during peak hours and failure to complete shift.” Talking about the disappointment she felt following the news, Grace mentions in her post, “three years of doubles late closes and weekend rushes gone.”

User @dont.hate.alexis, who previously worked at Wingstop, wrote, “Wingstop has the absolute worst management. I hated working at the 2 Wingstop I worked at. Worst job experience fr.” User @hy._.pno, who also worked at an outlet of the fast food restaurant chain, wrote, “Former wingstop manager… got put on a suspension for someone getting food poisoning on a shift that I came into help. They don’t care abt you either sue or take ur loss and move on.”
User @lex_janeel_406 wrote, “I feel we should be able to sue bosses for firing us for things we can’t control. Like family emergencies, sicknesses, car accidents, etc.” User @whiskey_momma03 wrote, “I feel you. I couldn’t leave when my hubby accidentally cut his arm the next day I quit Taco Bell didn’t get paid enough to stay anyways.”
People can sue for “wrongful termination” if they are unfairly fired from their job
In the United States, due to the existence of strict labour laws, people can always sue their employers if they believe that they were wrongfully terminated. Some of the circumstances under which one can be wrongfully terminated, as stated by the USA government, are as follows:
- Fired due to discrimination.
- Fired in violation of a federal or state labour law.
- Fired because the individuals reported and refused to participate in harassment.
- Fire because the person reported and refused to conduct an illegal act or a safety violation.
- Additionally, one can sue their employers if they are fired in non-compliance with their termination policies.
