New York City elected Zohran Mamdani as the next mayor and I have one very important question for him: What is his plan to get Twisters back into 4DX theaters?

Let me explain. While my agenda is ALWAYS to have more Twisters (2024) in my life, Mamdani said something this summer that made me realize that he is on my side. During one of his many campaign events, he talked about Times Square, the center of New York and a place many New Yorkers avoid if we can. It is always overcrowded and filled with tourists and a lot to handle.

Mamdani made it clear that he does often avoid it but sometimes, he has to come to Times Square. “Generally, unless I’m going for 4DX at Regal to watch Twisters,” Mamdani said. “If you feel it? Chase it!”

LISTEN. Twisters in 4DX changed my life. I managed to get all of my friends to go to the theater when it was re-released, we drank Twisted Tea, and everyone cheered when Glen Powell walked out in the rain in a white t-shirt. It was a core memory of mine and I have, in my own way, tried to convince people to put the movie back in theaters.

So now, I asked my mayor-elect one very important question: What is your plan to getting Twisters back in theaters? Can you work with Glen Powell so I can be sat back in a 4DX theater and living my best life?

I know that Mamdani makes a lot of promises and while I would like my rent to be less than it currently is, if this is one promise he can make happen quickly, I wouldn’t be mad about it. But I do love that he is just as Twisters pilled as I am…do you think he wanted the kiss cut?
