‘When did Lindsey Graham become our president?’: Megyn Kelly Asks as Senator Threatens to Cut Ties with US Allies

Sen. Lindsey Graham has been posturing against U.S. allies who refuse to participate in the war. Commentator Megyn Kelly, who has been MAGA since Trump’s second bid for the presidency, took shots at Graham for seemingly taking charge in the war.
Graham railed against Spain for deciding against participating in Trump’s war. He went on Fox News to condemn America’s longtime ally.
“To our friends in Spain, man, you’ve lost your way. I don’t wanna do business with you anymore. I want our airbases out of Spain and into a country that will let us use them,” Graham said. These comments came after Spanish President Pedro Sánchez firmly stood against the use of Spanish military bases by the United States at the onset of the war.
Graham adds, “To our Arab friends, I tried to help you construct your new Mideast. You need to up your game here. I can’t go to South Carolina and say we’re fighting, and you won’t publicly fight. What you’re doing behind the scenes—that has to stop.”
Graham believes that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other Gulf States should support the attack on Iran. The Middle Eastern states are divided on the issue. Regardless, Graham, a senator from South Carolina, has taken on an active part in promoting the war.
Graham has a horse in the race
To that, Megyn Kelly remarks, “When did Lindsey Graham become our president?” She checks the growing list of threats Graham gave out against several Gulf States, Cuba, and Spain during the day.
But Kelly doesn’t stop at calling out Graham. In her video, ‘The ALARMING Influence of Lindsey Graham in Pushing His Foreign Policy Goals, with Stu Burguiere,’ Kelly accuses Lindsey of having a personal agenda at stake.
Kelly cites a report by The Wall Street Journal. In the article, Graham reveals that he traveled to Israel to make the war in Iran happen. “Graham traveled several times to Israel in recent weeks, meeting with members of the country’s intelligence agency,” the report states.
“They’ll tell me things our own government won’t tell me,” Graham is quoted in the article. The senator also spoke with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, coaching him to lobby Trump to strike.
“This guy is a homicidal maniac with a bloodlust that is insatiable!” Kelly says of Graham when he suggested bombing Lebanon to Trump.
“He got us into the Iranian war. Now he wants us to get involved in the Lebanese war?” Regardless, Kelly still has trust in Trump—she still identifies as his supporter and blames Graham for moving the United States to war.
Graham may have moved the needle, but Trump still approved the war. Trump, as the president of the United States, should have been able to weigh and decide that forcing a regime change in Iran won’t just cost billions of dollars and American lives—it would also be ineffective. The fault is just as heavy in Trump’s hands as it is in Graham’s, Netanyahu’s, and everyone else who supported the war in equal measure.
Kelly isn’t the only MAGA figure that has spoken against the war effort. Tucker Carlson also denounced the war, believing that the war in Iran was waged by Israel and executed by Americans. Candace Owens, compared to Carlson and Kelly, took an even more extreme stance. She accused Trump of “betraying the American people.”
