Woman stumbles across Louboutins in T.J. Maxx. The $470 price tag has her hesitating: ‘Don’t do is sis !! They hurt like hell!’

A woman stumbled across a pair of T.J. Maxx Louboutins. But, she ended up not purchasing them due to their price tag and commenters’ suggestions.
TikToker Dahlia (@dahl.x) noticed a great pair of Louboutins with a glossy red sheen while shopping in-store. But, she also noticed a nearly $470 price tag attached to them.
Surprised at the find, she took to TikTok to show off the “ruby red slippers” she managed to see while shopping, posting a video that now has over 291,000 views. But, commenters couldn’t help but point out how uncomfortable Dahlia would be if she decided to buy her own pair of Dorothy red heels.
T.J Maxx Louboutins–to buy or to leave behind?
When Dahlia found a pair of red Louboutin heels, she had to try them on. But videos capturing the moments she slipped the shoes on showcase a slightly uncomfortable fit, something that commenters pointed out.
“Those look uncomfortable,” one commenter said.
Another viewer added that their feet hurt “just by looking at them!”
The shoes just so happened to be Dahlia’s size, but they did appear to have a tight fit. They also were an astonishing $469, rounding up to an even $470. For that reason, it doesn’t seem as though the shoes made it home with her.
A commenter said, “and for $469.00 they went to stay right there,” which Dahlia liked. In subsequent videos posted to her page, she didn’t show off her new shoes, seemingly moving on from the red heels entirely.
Where do women find T.J Maxx Louboutins?
In a subsequent follow-up video, Dahlia spilled the tea on how to find good items at T.J Maxx. The secret? “Gotta go where the middle aged white women live,” she wrote.
Commenters agreed, adding that other areas don’t have just as many great deals for luxury products. The logic is that nicer areas have customers willing to spend more at any given time. Therefore, they put out nicer items that customers can afford to purchase with discretionary funds.
Viewers compared it to thrift shopping, where nicer areas also have nicer items. Those in wealthy areas are more likely to donate higher-priced products, at least according to some discussion threads and online posts.
T.J Maxx customers seemingly verified this information through personal experiences. Multiple commenters added that they’ve seen some stores get extremely expensive products like Louboutins, while others remain devoid.
“They get luxury pieces, mine only keeps the Juicy with the rhinestone,” one viewer lamented.
Some commenters, though, pointed out that most T.J Maxx locations are usually in middle-class locations, which isn’t necessarily true, but did seem validated by others’ experiences with the stores. So, it may not be a broadly applicable tip. It depends on inventory and a number of other factors as well.
