It’s time to start the music because the Muppets are returning! And it is such a perfect time to have them back in our lives.

The beloved series brought Kermit the Frog and his gang of Muppets to a variety show that always had special guests, songs, and more. Now, Seth Rogen and Muppet Studios is bringing fans a special event on Feb. 4! And we have a teaser trailer for it.

The special event is described as follows: “It’s The Muppet Show! Kermit, Miss Piggy and the beloved Muppet gang are back with a brand-new special event. Music, comedy, and a whole lot of chaos are bound to ensue when The Muppets once again take the stage of the original Muppet Theatre with their very special guest, Sabrina Carpenter!”

And this couldn’t come at a more perfect time. I know it sounds cheesy but we need Kermit the Frog and friends. Growing up, Kermit and his friend taught so many of us how to laugh and have compassion and be there for each other. My favorite Muppet was Gonzo and when we got to see Muppets from Space celebrate him, I was so happy.

Fozzie Bear, my other favorite, taught me how to laugh and, of course, as all love Kermit the Frog. But the joy of the Muppets comes from the knowledge that everyone has their own favorite Muppet! And we all share that love and it just feels like the right time to bring back the team. And after all this time!

It has been hard to love a lot of the Muppet stuff without Jim Henson attached but there is still a love that fans have for this franchise and we need Kermit now more than ever!

You can see the special event of The Muppet Show on Disney+ on February 4.
