It’s time for another episode of our Let’s Play through The Walking Dead: Michonne! This week, we’re wrapping up the climactic conclusion to Chapter 2 of the Telltale Games adventure series. If you want to get caught up on both chapters, the full playlist is on our YouTube channel, where you can watch all the episodes from front to back and see which choices we made throughout.

Last week, Randall caught up to Michonne and found the place where she’s staying. After shooting Samantha’s dad in the head, Randall and his two underlings made it all the way up to the house, where they began to attack the woman inside. (By the way, I just found out that her name is “Paige,” so now I can finally call her something in these recaps.)

Michonne already took out Randall’s two underlings in the previous episode, so this week she’s got to have her epic showdown with Randall. That means lots of quicktime events! After Michonne beats up Randall thoroughly, Paige shows up and pulls Randall’s hands behind his back, then puts them in a vice so he can’t move. Lucky that vice was right there! More effective for restraint than handcuffs, plus they can double as a torture device.

Michonne dislocated her shoulder during the fight, so she has to jerk it back into alignment. Luckily she doesn’t seem to have sustained any other serious damage. Considering how many hits to the face she and Randall just took, I’m surprised they don’t both have a concussion (or several, over the course of this game), but everybody seems pretty hardy.

Norma calls Randall on his walkie-talkie, demanding that he check in with her, or else she’ll send a bunch more people after him. Michonne tells Randall to respond to the walkie and play nice. Randall does so, but only up to a point. He still tells Norma that Michonne killed a couple of his underlings, which seems like it might lead to Norma sending some more people after them.

Michonne turns off the radio and ignores the rest of Norma’s messages. Even though he’s tied up, Randall keeps delivering threats. He starts threatening the children in the house, which is a real “kick the dog” moment for him.

Samantha and one of her younger brothers walk into the room and see Randall tied up there. Randall instantly blurts out that he just killed their dad. The young boy starts sobbing, then runs from the room. Samantha demands that they kill Randall in return. Michonne responds that he’s a “good bargaining chip” to use against Norma. Samantha won’t hear anything of that: “You need to kill him, or I will.” Then she walks out.

Meanwhile, Randall seems to have a death wish at this point, because as soon as Samantha leaves, he starts taunting her to kill him. What’s this guy’s damage? Randall starts taunting Michonne about her own lost children, which causes her to start hallucinating. She gets a choice to either kill Randall or not, and she chooses not to kill him.

That’s where Chapter Two ends, with Michonne leaving Randall tied up but still alive. Just before the credits roll, Michonne gives us a final ominous monologue. Then, we get to the best part of the credits: getting to see which choices everybody else made, compared to ours!

People were split almost 50/50 on whether or not to kill Randall. A lot of the choices here are closer to evenly split, compared to the previous chapter. In our Let’s Player Sam’s words, other players are deciding “what kind of Michonne they want to play.” Let us know what type of choices you would’ve made!
